The Answer Is...
Before I begin...can someone tell me how long a growth spurt lasts? Over the last 2 months, P has turned into an eating machine, eating like she's got the inside scoop that there is going to be a famine in the land. She's gone from a size 2 to a 4 during this time.Last year's pants are going to be this year's capris!

Mary asked:
Where do you think you'd be if you hadn't have joined the Army?
- If I hadn't joined the Army, I would be a Registered Nurse. I was in college when I joined the Army. To be honest with you, I joined the Army to get away from the Step-Monster. I will say that joining the Army was one of the better decisions I'd ever made (I LOVED Basic Training. It was easier than living at home at the time). *9 years ago today I started Basic Training*
- If P was a boy, her name was going to be Austin Javier Anthony Hislastname-Mylastname. Her dad wanted to name her Gerald if she was a boy. Who names their kid Gerald in 2001?
Where do you see yourself living in 5 years?
- If I had my choice I would be still living overseas, working for the State Department at one of the US Consulates. I would say somewhere here in Europe, after a brief stint in the states (as long as P can go to school, I will live anywhere).
Is there any place you'd like to go that you haven't gone yet?
- Yes, my dream vacation is to visit Victoria Falls, in Zimbabwe. Hmmm...maybe I'll get a job at the US Consulate there.
Mama's Junkyard wanted to know:
If you could recommend three top holiday destinations what would they be?
*side note: for you folks that don't use the metric system, holiday is a vacation*
- Monaco
- Zurich, Switzerland
- Corfu, Greece
- Honorable Mention: Any of the Canary Islands
Is there anything that would make you leave the Military without a second thought? If so what is it?
- I am no longer in the military. I was in for 5 years. Yes, something did. I asked to get out in late 1998 because there was so much red tape to get home at a moment's notice when I lost 2 young cousins (15 & 10) within 6 weeks of each other in August and October 1998. I couldn't imagine having to basically beg to go home to be with my family for the rest of my career~that was my 'without a second thought' decision. I would make the same decision again if I had to.
Schatzi wanted to know:
If you came back to the states tomorrow, where would you like to live?
- Hmm...this is a tough one. My first choice would be Albuquerque, NM and my second choice would be Tuscon, AZ. Third choice would be Indianapolis, IN.
- My first childhood memory is of me when I was about 2, I was with my mother and her friends at a hotel in downtown St.Louis. When I was about 15 I told my dad about it, and he thought someone had told me what was going on during that time. He didn't believe me until I showed him the building, and named a few of the people there.
- Last week, I told her 'because I said so'. I remember when I was about 10 and my Ex-Step-Mother said that to me and I thought 'what kind of answer is that?'.
