Earlier in the week, I decided to make Gary and the yet unnamed computer wireless...just in case Vera fails me.
After dipping into the retirement fund for all the hardware (I had to return the first 2 routers), staying on the phone with the outsourced tech support of the router's manufacturer for almost 3 hours, (1-800 numbers are NOT free from here)~which ended with the technician telling me that my modem is bad~NOT!, I still wasn't hooked up.
Since I know when to say 'Uncle', I called a number in the base paper, and the nice man came to my house and connected all three computers in 42 minutes, using the same modem that I've been using for the past 3 years. He was so nice, I even gave him a €3, £2.45, and Fr1.62 tip. I would have given him my Polish Zloty, but they've been jacked by P.
I'm off to Heidelberg Saturday and Sunday for the 3rd weekend of my class. One more to go, and it's all over!!
While in class, I'll leech off the wireless floating arround the barracks on the 2nd and 3rd floor so I can catch up on some blog reading.
