In a Funk/New Coats

For some reason, I'm not feeling my jolly old self today~~it could be because I 'partied' too much this past weekend, or maybe because I've been pickin' cotton by myself the last two days. The days really drag on when there is no one for you to ignore.

Or maybe because I have a VERY important meeting/appointment next week. I'd rather not discuss what it is here (so email me if you want details), but maybe in the next week or two I'll post about it. I'll just say that I hope everything works out and that I don't have a nervous breakdown.

P informed me last week that 1 of her 3 winter coats don't 'keep her warm anymore' when she's outside at school. I'll admit that I thought I could get away with not buying a coat this year because she has not grown THAT much since last year. D brought (or bought?) her home in a pleather coat he thinks is the CUTEST~~~NOT!! There is nothing cute about a fake leather and fake fur lined coat for a 3 year old. He informed me that the jacket she wore to his house 'might be gettin' too little'. So I made it my mission to find her another coat, preferrably a Columbia coat. I looked high and low, but I couldn't find one I liked. So I check my secret weapon, Cabela's~YES, the hunting store. Low and behold, I found P a coat!!! I ordered it last week, and on Sunday we went to the store and found her another one, but this one came with the snowpants!! Basically the 2 coats were the same price, so the one I bought Sunday had 'free' snowpants. Monday, I picked up the mail and the coat from Cabela's had arrived (but I STILL got no DVDs).

I showed P her other new coat last night, and she said 'thank you, but I have no boots'. So, the hunt is on again~this timefor snow boots. It is to snow here before the end of the weekend, and I know she'll want to 'make angels' once it does snow.

Oh~~P told me she wants a snowboard for Christmas. Maybe I'll just get her a skateboard deck~it's small enough.

UPDATE: I got my DVDs today from B&N!! Just in time for the LONNNNGGGG weekend!!
